COVID-19

A Word of Thanks
The first thing we wish to do is to tell you thank you for all you have done to come alongside Beacon of Hope at this time. We cannot adequately express our deep love for the faithful prayer, compassion and giving that you, our supporters and partners in ministry, have shown to us. The men, women and children in our care wish for you to know how grateful we are for you. Through it all we continue to trust in our wise and gracious God who is our protector and provider. “The Lord is my protector; he is my strong fortress. My God is my protection, and with him I am safe. He protects me like a shield; he defends me and keeps me safe” – Psalm 18:2.

As the state has moved into opening, we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 spread carefully statewide, and in our community. We have no plans to curtail our ministry efforts, but we do exercise the necessary precautions as we serve the emergency, renewal, and community needs that our ministry outreach addresses. Beyond all prescribed sanitation, separation and social distancing practices we have implemented the following at our ministry facilities.

Residential Facilities

We have created safety procedures within our facility. We have been blessed thus far with no cases, but we remain ever vigilant so that we may care for anyone affected by the virus not requiring hospitalization.
We screen guests daily and monitor their health closely, as set forth in guidelines developed.
Staff and guests are practicing social distancing and minimizing large group gatherings. Activities, classes, chapel services and mealtimes have been adjusted accordingly.

2nd Chance Thrift Store

Thrifty store is currently closed to the public.
Donation Drop Off – We will accept donation drop offs to the warehouse location

Please respect all health guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks and social distancing.

COVID-19 Needs
