The Second Chance Thrift Store, operated by the Beacon of Hope Men’s Shelter, is blessed by the generosity of our community. When you shop and when you donate, you directly support our ministry, strengthen local connections, and help provide meaningful work opportunities for the men in our Work Program!
We are currently accepting donations of:
- Household items
- Women’s and children’s clothing
- Furniture
All donated items must be clean, in good condition, and fully functional.
Please note:
We cannot accept televisions, mattresses, box springs, cribs, or any non-working electronics.

We offer scheduled pickup services within Fort Dodge:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.
